El Rosario is an important chapter in Baja history as a travelers’ stopping point going back over a century when brave souls ventured south of Ensenada in their Model T’s to explore the remote and rugged landscape; the gateway to the Valle de los Cirios. That story continues on today as our Pemex station here at BajaCactus is the last operating gasoline station heading south until you reach Ejido Jesus Maria – a distance of over 320 kilometers (200 miles).
